It has been an exciting start to the school year! The students are busy, busy getting to know one another and the teachers, settling into their new schedules, and even getting back in the swing of having nightly homework. You may have noticed, all students K-8 bring home a nightly folder and an assignment book. Please take a moment each night to talk to your child about their homework and sneak a peek at their assignment book. The amount of homework has been light these first two weeks, but will continue to increase as we master our schedule.

This year’s theme for the year is “We will act with Justice,” and each quarter we will introduce students to a new virtue related to out theme. For the first quarter students are discussing UNITY and what it means to be one with Christ and one another. As the Word above reminds us, “we who are many, are one in the body of Christ.” By recognizing our individual strengths, we are able to truly serve one another.

We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful, our children need support from both the home and school. In working together, we will make a great difference in your child’s education.

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a relaxing and refreshing Spring Break. It is hard to believe we are already in the fourth and final quarter of school. Tomorrow and Friday we are hosting PTS conferences where you will receive your child(ren)’s 3rd quarter report card and information for next school year. If you have not done so already, please schedule your conference with your student’s homeroom teacher.
